This is my monthly reblog of an older post, this one a direct follow up to “The Forgotten Jews” (https://jmshistorycorner.wordpress.com/2018/05/03/the-forgotten-jews/). Note with regard to Gaithelus: he was likely the GRANDSON of Chalcol/Cecrops I, his father (Cecrops’ son) being Niul (aka Pharaoh Amenemhat IV), who married Princess (later Pharaoh) Sobekneferu (also known as Scota), who was daughter of Amenemhat III and Moses’ adoptive mother.
