Mystery Blogger Award

Almost a month ago now, Thony from https://markanthonyswall.wordpress.com nominated me for the Mystery Blogger Award.  Thanks, Thony!

https://markanthonyswall.wordpress.com/2018/10/04/mystery-blogger-award/

OK, so it’s not a direct nomination.  It’s an open nomination for anyone reading it.  (I normally don’t respond to those – unless I’m already a follower when it’s posted, which I was in this case.)

This is my 4th award, after Awesome Impact and Blogger Recognition (twice).

The Mystery Blogger Award is…

An award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.

The rules:

  1. Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog.
  2. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
  3. Answer the questions from the person who nominated you.
  4. Nominate 10-20 bloggers you feel deserve the award.
  5. Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice with one weird or funny one.
  6. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog.

3 things about me…

  • I’m an introvert
  • I LOVE disaster movies and adventure/thriller novels
  • I just took a political quiz, and I’m apparently a Right-Wing Libertarian.  And proud of it.

Questions

Thony passed on the questions he was asked, so here I go.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Introvert (I’ve said that already, haven’t I?).  Weirdo.  Cinephile.

What alternate universe would you want to live in?

Um… the Jack Mason Adventures, perhaps.  Unsure, really.  I’ll try and stay content with this one (as hard as that can sometimes be nowadays).

What is your phobia?

Oh, a more personal one.  Arachnophobia (not nearly as much as I used to – I may have gotten over it, I haven’t had the chance to test, and ain’t about to!  LOL).  Acrophobia.  And Apeirophobia.

What do you do when you can’t sleep?

Ah, now here’s the thing: I very rarely can’t sleep!

What is the worst movie you’ve ever seen?

Bee Movie.  Absolute rubbish.

My nominees

BottomlessCoffee007

miscellaneousoddity

God’s Whispers of Truth

Optimistic Soul

Reality Decoded

Empowered – Everyday

Riverside Peace

Alex on Faith

Anamika’s Blog

PliscaPlace

My questions for the nominees:

What’s your favourite movie?

If you could visit one place in the world, what would it be?

If you could travel to any time period/moment – past or future – what would it be?

What would you invent to change the world, if you could?

Have you ever had a celebrity crush?  (I sure have!)

Have fun!  If you feel uncomfortable with any of these questions, feel free to skip ’em!

[I mentioned a couple days ago that my Dad was very ill after a stroke.  He’s definitely recovering, thank YAH (God), although continued prayers for his speedy recovery would be appreciated.]

    1. Usually the big disaster/end of the world types. Geostorm, Independence Day (1 & 2), Deep Impact, Armageddon, San Andreas, etc. (These are what I consider to be “true” disaster movies”. However, I do enjoy some “not-so-true” disaster films, such as Ice Age 2, Airport, etc.)

        1. Deep Impact is my personal favourite disaster movie.
I saw 2012 as a kid – a while BEFORE I fell in love with the disaster genre. So, at the time I didn’t like it (I found it dark and scary), although I would probably have the opposite opinion if I watched it today.
I LOVE The Day After Tomorrow.

  2. Congrats! Love the answers! I’m with you on the political answer! Funny about the Bee Movie! I also don’t like spiders either. We have big wolf spiders here. I’ve seen them bigger than a silver dollar in our garage! I once saw a giant spider run out of an overgrown field in town. Thing looked like a giant hand running across the parking lot! I had never seen anything like that and I didn’t even know we had spiders that big in Colorado! Still don’t know what it was. It looked like it had a hard shell like a crab and it was cream colored. Some kind of giant tarantula or something, weird! God bless!

  3. I just saw that I’m not your follower anymore? Don’t know how that happened.
Congrats on the non-nomination, the questions are great and it’s nice to read more about you 😉 thank you for sharing 😉
