Coffee or Tea?

Tea!  I’ve only had coffee once or twice.  I like it, but I grew up on tea.

 

What is your all-time favorite quote?

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.  For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.  Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”  (Matthew 5:17-19)

A very inconvenient verse for traditional theology.

 

Would you eat a bowl of [dead] crickets for $20?

If they weren’t found dead somewhere, if they were roasted and spiced/sauced/whatever else needs to be done to make them as little like a cricket as possible, and if I was given a raise on the $20… I MIGHT give it some thought.

 

Do you consider yourself to be a fast runner and if so, how fast? If not, how slow?

I was fast when I was little; I haven’t run in YEARS, though (more than I care to count), so I don’t know.  In general, though, I am NOT very fast (it’s become something of a running joke in my family).

 

How do you feel towards insects in general?

I like ladybugs, butterflies, etc.  Other than those (and similar) though, I like any insect that’s under my boot while I’m wearing it – or is somewhere else not bothering me.

        1. Ha! But yes, it’s an outdated system. Still, I’ll take Celcius over Fahrenheight, metres over feet, kilometres over miles, gaol instead of jail, colour instead of color, driving on the left side of the road over the right side, Parliament over Congress, separation of head of state from head of government over your presidential model, preferential voting over first past the post, proportional representation in the Senate over your system, etc, etc, anyday.
