Welcome to the 21st edition of My Fortnightly Movie/TV Thoughts!  Last fortnight, I reviewed Rogue One (2016) and Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017).  This fortnight, I’m reviewing:

  • Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), rated M for science fiction violence

That is the Australian rating; in the United States, it’s rated PG-13 for sequences of sci-fi action/violence.

  1. Love this movie! Ford is definitely the best Han Solo, but his replacement (for this movie) does an excellent job, like Julie Andrews replacement for Mary Poppins (though with regards to Poppins, I’m not sure which I consider to play her best).
    Donald Glover was awesome (in my opinion, anyway) as Lando and seems to capture him quite well. Him and the actor who played the young Solo certainly had chemistry.
    Overall awesome movie.
    P.S. – would you believe that one person criticized this movie because the young Han Solo was “too much” like Peter Quill, despite mentioning that Peter Quill was based off Han Solo.
