Welcome to the 27th edition of My Fortnightly Movie/TV Thoughts! Last fortnight, I reviewed Home Alone 4 (2002). This fortnight, I’m reviewing:
- Titanic (1997), rated M for mature themes and coarse language (in Australia)
That of course is the Australian rating; in the United States, it’s rated PG-13 for disaster related peril and violence, nudity, sensuality and brief language.
As usual, I’ll give the trailer and a clip at the end.
And as usual, just to be safe, I offer the following disclaimer:
WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED AT OWN RISK.
Titanic
Arguably the most famous sinking of all time – or at least one of them – the RMS Titanic struck and iceberg in the North Atlantic in April 1912 in its maiden voyage, sinking a matter of hours later, with catastrophic loss of life. We’ve all heard of it – and most of us have heard of…

We are doing well! Well actually my whole family including my wife and kids are a bit under the weather with coughs and all but overall we are doing well. How about you and your brother and family?

Oh, no! Do they have the cold or flu? Tell them that I hope they get better soon.
We’re all good.

I watched this movie over and over when it first came out. And I love the music. I would play the CD in the car. One night, driving home I was caught in a severe storm, heavy rain, winds, thunder, lightning, the works. The music from Titanic was playing, I turned up the volume…….it was an amazing experience!!

I envy you – I wish I’d seen it in theatres. (Of course, I wasn’t born then.) I now want to rewatch it. (I saw it 1 1/2 times, when I borrowed it from the library.)
The music really IS amazing! I confess that when I saw it, I struggled to hold back tears at times.

I can relate JM.
Out of all the movies I have seen of the Titanic disaster I would say this one is the one I enjoyed the most.
Have a wonderful day.😃
It’s so so good to see the rain ☔️
