3 THINGS ABOUT ME
How many times have I been asked something like this? Either way, here are 3 things:
- I just recently became a fan of Supernatural and The Man in the High Castle, and highly recommend both – ESPECIALLY The Man in the High Castle
- I’ve never seen Charlton Heston’s Ben-Hur, although I love the 2016 remake (a horrible crime, I know)
- Half my non-RET, non-review posts are cooked up out of sheer last-minute desperation, sometimes about a topic I’ve only just learned about
RACHEAL’S QUESTIONS
(Since there HAS to be a weird one in there) What is a little quirk you have when it comes to food? (I have several)
I’ll lick the plate/bowl clean. (Not LITERALLY lick, but by the time my plate gets washed, I’ve already done half the cleaning.)
Milkshake or lemonade?
A mixture of both.
Are you fond of musicals?
Yep – especially Mamma Mia! and its sequel, and just about any Disney musical. Oh, and the rare Lucifer musical number – and all the VeggieTales songs.
What motivates you to write?
Um… apart from Bible-translating (which is God), I don’t know.
What was the last book you read?
The Bible – specifically the Book of Judith. Apart from that… the two most recent books I’ve read are The Demon Crown by James Rollins and TimeRiders: The Pirate Kings by Alex Scarrow, both of which I’m still in the middle of reading.
MY NOMINEES
My questions:
- Milkshake or lemonade?
- Are you fond of musicals?
- What motivates you to write?
- What was the last book you read?
- If you could write a book what would it be about?
If you elect to do it, have fun!
(And if you weren’t nominated, but want to do it, feel free!)
Congrats on being nominated, and thanks so much for nominating me, as well!!
*Gasps* You’ve never seen Charlton Heston’s Ben Hur?!? You definitely have to. It’s amazing. I have not seen the new one, mostly because I’m afraid it will ruin the original. I mean, Charlton Heston IS Ben Hur, in my mind.
Anyways, sorry for ranting/rambling on that.
Thanks again, and have an awesome day!!

Thanks, and LOL. I’ve been meaning to watch it for some time; my parents tell me it’s quite good.

Lol, you should listen to your parents; it is amazing. Quite long, but worth every darling second of that amazing film.

LOL. Have you seen Heston’s “The Ten Commandments”?

I have; it was great!! Have you?

Yes, I own it on DVD; I really enjoy it. Yul Brynner was absolutely perfect for the Pharaoh. (For that matter, just about everyone was perfectly cast.)

Awesome, yeah it was pretty great!! Man, you have gotta see Ben-Hur, I’m telling you… You seriously won’t regret it. The only thing you’ll regret is not having watched it sooner…

I’ve just put a hold on it at my library.
(And I definitely recommend the remake.)

Awesome!! All right, I will have to check it out and whenever I get around to watching it, I’ll make sure and tell you what I thought of it. You’ve got to tell me what you thought of the older Ben-Hur version too, though!! I’d love to know your thoughts.

(P.S. X-Men: Apocalypse came in yesterday, and I watched it last night. It’s epic!)

It’s one of the most epic X-Men movies to date.

More epic than Days of Future Past? Now that, I have to see.

I don’t know if I’d go THAT far – I’m still inclined to call Days of Future Past the best – but Apocalypse is pretty awesome.

Can’t wait! I got notified by the Library that due to the C Virus, they’ve extended all loans until the first of May and are strongly recommending borrowing ebooks instead of physical books and so far banning all borrowing of toys.
