We are instructed in Yah’s/God’s word to take the seventh day off as a day of rest. Six days we are meant to work, and on the seventh day we are to rest. But what day of the week is it on? Is it Saturday? Or is it Sunday?
Well, the Bible says seventh day, so that sounds like Saturday. BUT the Christians and Catholics take Sunday off for the Sabbath. So why do they worship on Sunday instead of Saturday? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Yahushua or His disciples celebrated the Sabbath on Sunday.
There can be no doubt that Christ, His disciples, and the first-century Christians kept Saturday, the seventh-day Sabbath. Yet, today, most of the Christian professing world keeps Sunday, the first day of the week, calling it the Sabbath.
So, who changed it from Saturday to Sunday? YEHOVAH/God or…

I don’t know who chnaged it but does it really matter whether it is Saturday or Sunday. Some people like Doctors,Nurses, Police etc often have to work the weekends so they need to have Sabbath on a day during week.

Well, it DOES matter, although as you said, there are some who would have to find another day.

I started taking Saturday off when I was in college. I am in no way legalistic about the Sabbath, but I like taking Saturday. I don’t pay bills on that day or do any kind of work like that, but I will always help someone and serve the Lord no matter what day it is. God bless brother! It is wise to take a day of rest, we need it!

Yep, so true. Even secular Israelis keep the Sabbath – and comment on how good it is health-wise etc.

The correct answer is neither of the above. The Gregorian and Masoretic calendars are based on pagan constructs; see http://bit.ly/GodsCalendar. A Biblical “yom” is approximately five minutes longer than a SI “day;” therefore, it cannot be reconciled. The Sabbath occurred on the seventh “yom;” see http://bit.ly/YomShabbat.

We can agree to disagree, but the truth is found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, and I’ve studied it for nearly 20 years.

🦋My son once worked with emergency services. He worked Firday to Wednesday – long hours too, so his rest day was Thursday. He changed his day of worship to Thursdays.
I think the important thing is that we do keep a day for the Sabbath.
My 2 cents worth. 😉

Yes, in those sort of jobs, it’s sometimes necessary to find another day.
